Every time a fight is scheduled that doesn’t have an obvious winner, we at heavyweightpicks.com, using our unique analysis techniques, will make an informed selection. For a small fee (only $2.99), this information will be available to you in the weeks leading up to a particular fight (see How To Order)
When you purchase a fight preview from heavyweightpicks.com you’ll have access to our detailed analysis of a particular fight. We select from contests in all weight classes from all over the world not just the popular, high profile fights that most tipsters write about. When you read our forecasts, you’ll see exactly how and why we make our picks.
It's important to understand that we will not publish picks in fights which appear one-sided as we do not feel there is a real requirement for expert selections in these types of fights. For instance, it wouldn’t have taken a great deal of research to conclude that Manny Pacquiao would beat Marco Antonio Barrera in their rematch or that Floyd Mayweather would prove just too good for Ricky Hatton. Furthermore, we don’t want to artificially inflate our win/loss statistics with seemingly straight-forward picks (see our Track Record). We’re here to analyze pick ‘em type fights and advise you where to put your hard earned money in order to make a well deserved return.
The key to our approach is recognizing when the odds makers get it wrong then systematically place small, low-risk wagers on carefully researched fights. Obviously, we won’t win them all, but when you bet sensibly, your wins will comfortably more than make up for any occasional loss.
Please note that in the unlikely event that a fight is scored a draw or a no-contest, our fight pick will automatically be declared void. Similarly, if a fighter fails to make the weight for a fight, for instance Jose Luis Castillo vs Diego Corrales II, this will also invalidate our fight pick, regardless of the result, since we can only handicap fighters accurately at the weight they're supposed to be fighting at.
